IMPORTANT NOTICE TO MAYTAG CUSTOMERS
Dear Valued Customer,
We regret to inform you that we are no longer able to provide service under Maytag's Manufacturer Warranty of 12 year parts and labour coverage. Maytag has been bought out by Assurant, and after numerous attempts to work with them on this matter it seems that they are abandoning their warranty responsibilities to all parties. Chill-Air is no longer a Maytag Dealer and has not been for several years, and we have tried for as long as possible to maintain and service our customers in good faith, while hoping to resolve this matter.
There are a couple of options for you the consumer:
- You can call us and we can come and repair your equipment but it must be paid in full cash on delivery (C.O.D.). At the time of calling make sure you let dispatch know it is a Maytag Unit and our technician can leave you the proper paperwork so that you can submit for reimbursement for warranty directly to Maytag/Assurant.
- Call Assurant 1-800-235-5121 and talk to a representative regarding pre-authorization for us to come out and do the service call and find out the steps you need to get your money back. We will still require C.O.D. at the time of call. It will be your responsibility to apply for reimbursement.
- You could get in touch with the Wholesale Company that supplies Maytag and see where they can direct you.
